Role Overview:

The Senior Associate for AML Monitoring & Reporting will be instrumental in investigating potentially suspicious activities in line with our Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) policies. This role involves overseeing case investigations for fraud and other suspicious activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in compliance with local regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigation and Reporting: Review and investigate cases of potentially suspicious activity, including fraud. Draft detailed case narratives and escalate reportable activities to relevant authorities.
• Monitoring: Conduct thorough investigations and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) to enhance transaction clarity. Monitor and report on trends in suspicious activity.
• Compliance: Stay updated on AML/CTF regulations, ensure adherence to policies, and contribute to departmental performance reporting.
• Collaboration: Work closely with transaction monitoring units to ensure consistent and effective application of monitoring procedures. Identify training needs and suggest improvements for the process.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Financial Management, Business Management, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 4 years in a similar role, with experience in payment industry AML/Fraud alerts and escalations.
• Skills: Strong understanding of AML/CTF regulations, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and excellent problem-solving abilities. Professional certifications like CAMS are a plus.
• Communication: Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to develop clear case narratives.
