About the Project:
Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer among women in Nigeria, primarily caused by human papillomavirus (HPV). To expand HPV vaccination coverage, this project aims to assess the feasibility of introducing immediate postpartum HPV vaccination alongside scheduled cervical cancer screenings in private healthcare facilities.
We are looking for skilled and experienced Health Facility Data Collectors to support this initiative by conducting data collection activities and engaging with healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with facilitators to access private healthcare facilities for smooth data collection.
- Conduct structured interviews with healthcare providers (doctors, nurses, midwives) and facility administrators to evaluate the feasibility of postpartum HPV vaccination.
- Thoroughly document interviews and discussions with stakeholders.
- Ensure data quality by adhering to established protocols and promptly report inconsistencies or issues.
- Maintain and submit daily activity logs and weekly progress reports, summarizing key insights and challenges.
- Complete data collection within the assigned timeframe.
- Participate in debrief sessions to share insights and refine the data collection process.
Requirements:
- MBBS, B.Sc, or diploma in public health, nursing, or a medical-related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in fieldwork and qualitative data collection within healthcare settings.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with healthcare providers.
- Ability to work independently, manage schedules effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Professional demeanor with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- A background as a healthcare specialist is an added advantage.
Deliverables:
- Comprehensive documentation of interviews and discussions.
- Daily and weekly reports detailing progress, insights, and challenges.
- Completion of data collection for all assigned health facilities within the project timeline.
