Founded in 2011, INSO supports humanitarian aid workers in high-risk areas, offering critical services such as real-time incident tracking, safety reports, crisis management, and staff training. INSO has a strong reputation and supports over 1,200 NGOs worldwide, including 120+ NGOs in Nigeria since 2016.
Role Overview
The Country Director will lead INSO’s strategy and operations in Nigeria, overseeing program management, team leadership, and partner engagement. This role is pivotal in ensuring safety, support, and informed decision-making for NGOs operating in Nigeria. Reporting to the Regional Director for Central Africa, the Country Director will use their expertise to shape INSO’s presence in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Management: Oversee program strategy, budget, and compliance, ensuring the safety of staff and assets.
- Service Delivery: Directly contribute to INSO’s reports and briefings, guiding humanitarian leadership with actionable insights.
- Crisis Management: Provide rapid response support to partners during critical incidents.
- Representation: Strengthen INSO’s presence by engaging with NGOs, donors, government, and other key stakeholders.
Qualifications
Mandatory:
- Minimum 3-5 years as an NGO Country Director or equivalent senior management role.
- Strong management and analytical skills, including multi-donor project management experience.
- Fluent in English; excellent written and verbal communication.
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
Desirable:
- Experience in Nigeria or neighboring countries.
- Background in staff capacity development.
Personal Competencies
- Effective communicator, analytical thinker, adaptable, and resilient under pressure.
Compensation
- Salary: €6,500/month
- Benefits: 12-month renewable contract, annual leave, quarterly R&R, global medical coverage, and AD&D coverage.
