NRC’s mission is to provide immediate assistance during emergencies, bridge the gap between humanitarian aid and development, and enhance the resilience of displaced people. NRC operates in key locations including Maiduguri, Yola, and Jos, with a dedicated team of 370 staff.

 

Position Overview:

An opportunity exists for an Anti-Corruption and Investigations Coordinator based in Abuja. The role involves managing administrative investigations, coordinating anti-corruption efforts, and overseeing the implementation of Corruption Risk Mapping across all NRC units. The Coordinator will also provide support to other country offices within the region.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training Delivery: Conduct anti-corruption training sessions, including induction for new staff at the Country Office, area, and field offices.
  • Handling Allegations: Manage investigations in accordance with NRC procedures and toolkit, ensuring a strategic and compliant approach.
  • Risk Prevention: Oversee the implementation and monitoring of Corruption Risk Mapping (CRM) across NRC Nigeria, ensuring compliance with CRM Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Reporting: Maintain the investigations tracker, update reporting channels, and provide regular CRM reports.
  • Compliance: Ensure investigations adhere to the investigations toolkit SOP and provide guidance on anti-corruption policies.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in investigations, finance, accounting, law, or a related field, or substantial relevant experience.
  • Formal training or certification in investigative methodology.
  • At least 2 years of relevant investigations and anti-corruption experience.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Knowledge of the local context in Nigeria is desirable.
  • Experience with administrative investigations in the UN or INGO sector is a plus.
