Job Summary:
We are seeking an Access to Finance Associate who will be responsible for providing technical guidance and implementing activities aimed at enhancing access to finance for project participants in Lagos state. The role will involve managing relationships between financial institutions, project participants, and other relevant partners, focusing on micro-credit and financial inclusion. The candidate will also collaborate with Business Development Service Providers and key market actors to help upscale the capacity of stakeholders and meet the overall objectives of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate engagements between project participants, financial institutions, and Business Development Service Providers (BDSPs) to achieve project goals.
• Collaborate with the Access to Finance Specialist and project team to develop and implement strategies for the Access to Finance workstream.
• Provide technical support to enhance access to fit-for-purpose credit facilities for beneficiaries.
• Engage with beneficiary SMEs to align with the needs of partner financial institutions and investors.
• Assist in preparing beneficiary SMEs to become investment-ready, including support with application processes.
• Develop and implement strategies for business development services, and ensure resources are mobilized for program activities.
• Support portfolio management and due diligence processes for beneficiary SMEs and lenders.
• Collaborate with project partners and service providers to deliver relevant training for beneficiaries.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
• Proven experience in access to finance, microfinance, or business development.
• Strong understanding of financial products and services, especially micro-credit.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage partnerships.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Prior experience in the health or development sectors is an advantage.
