Job Details

We are supporting our client, a global health system-strengthening organization, in their mission to optimize health outcomes for disadvantaged and underserved populations. With experience across over 15 African countries, our client implements transformative programs addressing healthcare challenges in local contexts.

Currently, our client is part of a consortium providing targeted support to sustainably build the leadership and management capacity of EPI teams, strengthen EPI coordination, and enhance immunization programs at national and sub-national levels across eight countries.


Role Description

The Field Associate will provide technical and operational support for the execution of the EPI program. This includes day-to-day execution of program workflows, ensuring program quality, and achieving desired outcomes.


Responsibilities

Program Implementation

  • Conduct diagnostic assessments of immunization systems within the assigned country or region.
  • Support the day-to-day execution of program activities.
  • Contribute to a program workstream and escalate challenges to the Country Lead.
  • Gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, and communicate recommendations.
  • Facilitate collaboration and coordination with partners to ensure smooth program implementation.
  • Participate in routine problem-solving sessions with stakeholders to address challenges and align on solutions.

Program Monitoring and Reporting

  • Regularly track, monitor, and review program activities to ensure quality, accountability, and compliance with agreed deliverables.
  • Document progress and liaise with key stakeholders.
  • Participate in structured mid-term and end-term program evaluations.

Education and Experience

  • Education: Minimum of a First-Class Bachelor’s degree in fields such as International Development, Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Management, or related disciplines.
  • Experience: Proven leadership experience in academic, professional, or extracurricular settings.
