Job Summary:
Talent Lab Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Finance Officer to support our Finance Manager in overseeing financial operations. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial planning. Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management and Reporting
- Manage daily financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in developing and managing annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Conduct variance analysis, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions.
Client and Project Financial Oversight
- Manage the financial aspects of client contracts, ensuring accurate billing, revenue recognition, and contractual compliance.
- Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and provide detailed financial performance reports.
- Work closely with project managers to develop financial plans and ensure project budgets are adhered to.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and standards.
- Coordinate external audits, maintaining complete and accurate financial documentation.
- Implement internal controls to safeguard assets and maintain the accuracy of financial records.
- Identify financial risks and provide strategic recommendations to mitigate them.
Financial Analysis and Strategy
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making, including cost-benefit analysis and investment appraisals.
- Provide financial modeling and forecasting for new business opportunities and initiatives.
- Advise senior management on budgeting, cash flow, and investment strategies.
Team Leadership and Development
- Supervise and mentor junior finance team members, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Lead the finance team to achieve departmental objectives, fostering professional growth.
Systems and Process Improvement
- Evaluate and enhance financial systems and processes to increase efficiency.
- Stay updated on financial best practices and industry trends to keep our operations competitive.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; a Master’s degree or certification (CPA, ACCA) preferred.
- Experience: At least 5 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with a minimum of 1 year in a senior finance role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, advanced Excel skills, and experience with financial modeling.
