The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the largest nonprofit fighting poverty, disease, and inequity globally, is seeking a Senior Program Officer, Child Health. This role will focus on improving child health outcomes in Nigeria by supporting the “Resiliency through Azithromycin for Children” (REACH) program and collaborating with governments, private sectors, and civil society.

Key Responsibilities:

• Co-develop and implement strategies to scale up child survival initiatives.
• Manage partnerships, monitor grants, and ensure alignment with health strategies.
• Engage with national and sub-national governments to implement new child health interventions.
• Oversee data-driven decision-making and localized program delivery.
• Represent the foundation to key health leaders and stakeholders.

Your Experience:

• Advanced degree in medicine, public health, health economics, or related fields.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience managing large-scale health programs in African settings.
• Proven experience in implementing child health interventions.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian health systems, with an understanding of social, political, and economic factors.
• Ability to manage complex health programs and partnerships, delivering impactful results.
