Role Overview:
As an LGA Consultant, you will play a key role in transforming health services by providing hands-on training, technical support, and strategic guidance to LGA teams. Your expertise will help strengthen PHC program management and boost immunization coverage in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostics to assess baseline performance and competencies of LGA teams.
- Develop and facilitate tailored training curricula for PHC and immunization programs.
- Coordinate and harmonize support from partner organizations at the LGA level.
- Provide technical assistance for problem-solving in immunization and PHC program design.
- Monitor and evaluate program efficiency and performance with LGA teams.
- Ensure timely data collection and documentation of program activities.
- Guide mentoring and monitoring of PHC Officers-In-Charge (OICs) and their deputies.
- Participate in and contribute to LGA-level meetings and reporting.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in health or related natural sciences.
- Experience in PHC system strengthening or health system projects.
- Proficiency in English and Hausa languages.
- Strong skills in coaching, problem-solving, and using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and planning skills.
Travel: Frequent visits to PHC facilities within assigned LGAs.
